Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi The mission of Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys and Girls Club offers a safe place for children to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences and most of all, hope and opportunity.

K.I.N.G.S. Leadership Institute (KLI): was develop to assist young men in making a positive transition to adulthood by understanding and embracing leadership, responsibility, and academic success.  KLI provides programs to positively alter the futures of black males.  We strive to improve their chances of success by encouraging them toward success in healthy living and education, emphasizing the importance of morals, values, ethics, and spirituality, and by empowering them to become socially and economically responsible in society.


Operation Shoestring educates, inspires, and empowers children and families in our central Jackson Community to create holistic community transformation. We do this by providing holistic services in youth development, economic empowerment and health by directly levering the power of community partnerships. We believe that the health and wellbeing of our service community impacts the health and wellbeing of all of Jackson. We All Rise Together.


Sidney Conley Photography: Jackson photographer Sidney Conley has a desire to show Mississippi the beauty of art through his eyes. He started his artistic journey at Tougaloo College and went on to establish his own business, Sidney Conley Photography.


Sisters With A Throttle (S.W.A.T.) Motorcycle Club: S.W.A.T. promotes equality and social justice for women and children. We are dedicated to raising awareness of women’s issues and being ambassadors in our community for child welfare, domestic violence awareness and prevention, and advocacy.


United Way of the Capital Area is making a difference in communities of Hinds, Madison, & Rankin Counties. United Way is the leader in our community at bringing people together, maximizing the impact that investments and volunteer hours can have in the lives of families here in the tri-county area. United Way’s educational goal is to increase the graduation rate in our target areas to 85% by 2020. By focusing on the areas of education, income, and health, we are putting families on pathways to prosperity.
